varied.Thefirstdrawingis ofa water
duckat ourlocalzoo.Hewasjust
swimmingaround.Thisbeganasa rough
drawing.I carrya smalldrawingpadwith
meeverywhereI go.Thedrawingtook
aboutanhour.Thespeedofthedrawing
wasenhancedbytheuseofDerivan
LiquidPencil.I alsouseda HBpencil.
Theseconddrawingis ofa pear.It
wasjustsittingonmydiningroom
table.It hadverygoodlightdueto
thewindowbehindthetable.I added
thewaterdrops,justtogiveit a better
look;otherwiseit hasbeendrawn
exactlyasit appeared.I usedShade 3
DerivanLiquidPencil;YellowLiquid
Pencil;BlueLiquidPencil;anda HB
pencilforthedetails.It lookslikea

simpledrawingbutit wasdifficult

togetit right.I usethisdrawingto

teachmystudentstheuseoflightsand

darks,andtodemonstratecontrast.
