Kim Joelene Donald as one of
its talented daughters. She was
born at Warrnambool; and these days
she lives and works at Bendigo.
With no formal art training, Kim has
developed her own distinctive style
during the process of teaching herself
to paint.
“As you will see from my work, I
am passionate about Australia,” she
says. “I am also passionate about
art and colour. What used to be a
painting hobby has become my life ...
ever since April 2007.”
Kim Donald operates a business
called Kim’s Endless Creations. Its
focus is personalised art which adds
atmosphere to given areas through
wall murals. Her murals are much
more than just paintings ... they are
statements of style and marks of
individuality. Each painting, whatever
its theme – be it classical, realistic,
contemporary, humorous, surreal,
or fantastical – can intrigue the
viewer in many ways and give
incalculable pleasure.
The business has elevated Kim
from ‘hobby artist’ status andenabled her to stake her claim as a
professional artist. She prefers to
work with acrylics and she uses the
medium’s strong and vibrant colours
to great advantage.
“There is nothing quite like
transforming a blank wall into a
masterpiece using only a paint brush
and my imagination to create the
ultimate atmosphere!” she relates,
in expressing her enthusiasm for
mural work.
