Apple ID and then tap on the ‘iCloud’ option
to be taken to the main iCloud overview
page. Now tap on ‘iCloud Backup’.

Tap on Backup
Make sure that the ‘iCloud Backup’
switch is turned on and your device will
backup automatically when connected to
power, locked and connected to Wi-Fi.

If you go to iCloud>Manage
Storage>Backups and tap on your device,
you’ll be able to choose exactly what data
is included in your iOS backups.

of the apps that use iCloud will be listed.
Scroll down and de-activate any apps that
you don’t need to connect to iCloud.

able to see how your storage is being used
by the various apps. Tap on one and choose
‘Delete Documents & Data’ to clear it.

Alternatively, scroll down further to see
the documents and data listed and swipe left
on a file to reveal the ‘Delete’ option. Tap this
is delete the files of particular apps.

4

Delete old backups
Old iOS backups may be eating into
your iCloud storage space. In ‘Manage
Storage’, tap on ‘Backups’, select an old
one and hit ‘Delete Backup’.

5

Reduce backups
If you go to iCloud>Manage
Storage>Backups, you can choose what
data is backed up. Tap on your device, go to
‘Show All Apps’ and turn off unneeded apps.

6

Change plan
If you are really struggling to keep within
your customary 5GB of storage then go
to iCloud>Manage Storage and tap on the
