Master iCloud online
Discover how you can access your iCloud account – and all related files and apps – by going to iCloud.com

Seeing as most modern services like to collect as much data as possible on their customers for marketing purposes, your inbox will
become full of junk emails in no time if you provide them with your real email address. The solution is to create an alias.

Create an email spam defence

1

Go to settings
In iCloud.com, click on ‘Mail’ to load
your inbox and then click on the Settings
(cog) icon in the lower-left corner of the
interface to access the iCloud Mail actions.

2

Open Preferences
From the menu, choose ‘Preferences’
to bring up a new window and then click on
the ‘Accounts’ tab at the top. Now click on
the ‘Add an alias’ option in the left column.

3

Create an alias
You can now add the name of your alias
iCloud Mail address, give it a label and save
it by clicking ‘Ok’ then ‘Done’. You can then
supply the alias address to newsletters, etc.

It is worth remembering that you can access your iCloud account from any computer simply by going to iCloud.com and entering your
Apple ID login. As well as being able to access your photos and files, there are many online perks to enjoy as well...

Use the apps
Any Apple apps that use iCloud
will be available to use from the
website, including Mail, Photos and,
of course, your iCloud Drive which
provides instant access to any files
stored in your drive. You can also
create new Pages, Numbers and
Keynote documents from here.

Find your device
Logging into your iCloud account
online is a handy way to find lost
devices. Click on ‘Find My iPhone’
and your devices will be displayed
on a Map. Click ‘All Devices’, choose
a device and then you can make it
play a sound, enter Lost Mode or
remotely erase it.

iCloud settings
If you click on ‘Account Settings’,
you’ll be able to manage your Apple
ID, check how much storage space
you have, see which devices are
currently signed into your account,
manage your Family Sharing and
much more...

Sign out
If you are using a public computer
then you must remember to sign out
of your iCloud account when you
have finished your session to protect
your privacy. Click on your account
ID in the top-right corner of the
interface and then choose ‘Sign Out’.

You can enable/disable Quick Actions by going to System
Preferences>Extensions and then clicking on ‘Finder’ in the left column.
