ARTWORK DESIGN
When designing placement
artwork, I usually start by
selecting color combinations
I personally like aft er the
color research. I then envision
the pattern I want to create.
Initially, I wanted to design a
marbled texture, so I opted for
earthy tones.
Using curved lines in Illustrator,
I formed color blocks to mimic
the natural marble pattern.
Once satisfied with the shape
by using shape builder, I
applied the color palette to
the artwork. I then placed the
finished artwork onto a sketch
of my dress and experimented
with another set of colors.
By scaling and rotating the
artwork, I achieved the desired
eff ect. With simple color blocks,
I could switch to another color
scheme within seconds.
