Illustrators

Laura Callaghan (cover)
is an Irish illustrator living
in Belfast. Her work is
largely hand painted and
depicts women in colourful
environments, part fashion
illustration, part satire.
She creates images that are
ostensibly bright and beautiful
but that cultivate a sense of
unease and humour, drawing
parallels with the tone of the
cover film Promising Young
Woman. The cover image was
handpainted using
watercolour and indian ink.

loitering around her

Marina Esmeraldo is an artist
from Brazil, now based in
Barcelona. Her work draws
on a tropical upbringing,
a Modernist training in
Architecture, and wanderlust.

Stéphanie Sergeant is a
French illustrator/animator
living and working in Poland.
She mostly works with
watercolour and animates in 2D.
She likes sugar pies and the dark,
long process of animation.
