Never fear! Here is a
brief lowdown...
WHAT IS BIG FINISH?
Big Finish is an audio production company
which has been creating Doctor Who,
Doctor Who tie-in material and original
audio drama since 1996. Since then it has
expanded its range to include titles focusing
on Rose Tyler, Donna Noble, Torchwood and
original properties.SO IT PRODUCES NEW DOCTOR
WHO STORIES? WITH THE
ORIGINAL CAST?
Among other things, yes! Their stories are
full cast, complete with music and special
effects and cover everything from occasional
visits from the First Doctor all the way to side
stories featuring 10, 11 and 12. Length varies,
with the ‘Short Trips’ series usually being one
narrator and roughly half an hour while full
length stories feature a full cast and clock in
at roughly two hours.IS THERE ANYTHING BIG FINISH
DOESN’T COVER?
It doesn’t tend to run stories featuring the
current incarnation of the Doctor, so no
TimeFam audio adventures just yet. It’s
got very good at doing Doctor-specifi c
adventures without the actual actor involved.
The 12th Doctor Chronicles set, releasing
shortly, is a good example of that as is its
solo narration Short Trips episodes.BRILLIANT! WHERE SHOULD

Honestly, there are three really good ways
to get into Big Finish. The fi rst is to pick your
favorite Doctor and see what it’s produced
for them. The second is to pick a title that
looks interesting and jump straight on in...
