Stavros Moschopoulos
was born in the decade of atomic tests and
innocence by the edge of the Aegean, in
Athens, Greece. He grew up in a wonderful
world full of the aesthetics of Ancient
Greek art and civilization and the wonderful
surrealism of Greek mythology. Then he
discovered Jules Verne and the Adventures of
TinTin, which further inspired his imagination. He wanted to
see the world and capture its soul. He ended up working for
the United Nations and managed to travel and live in Italy,
Thailand, Hungary, and Switzerland. He has now retired back
in Athens, Greece. His images are a mirror of the desire to
recreate the world according to his own mythology and artistic
sensibility.
