thescenographer’s laureateat
theBenoisdelaDanseawards.
Hisartworkcanbefoundin
museumsacrosstheworld.

PrettywellwhatIdonow.Mydad,
whopassedawaywhenIwasabout
seven,wasapainterandarchitect,
andhelpedmemaketinytheatres
outofemptywoodenmatchboxes,
withminiaturecurtainsanddrops.

Business-classtravel.Butthathas
becomeanessential.My downfall
isbeautifulwatchesandbeautiful
leatherbagsandluggage.

InmystudioathomeintheBlack
Mountains.Also, whenyou’ve

forthefirsttime–it’sthepurest

Ifitwere apersonratherthan
object,thisanswerwouldbeavery
longone.Ican’t thinkofanyobject
thatcouldn’t simplybereplaced.

Climatechange.Notjusttryingto
tackleit,butalsopersuadingall
countriesthatitappliestothem.

No,I’llhappilygobacktotheearth.
