What was your first
acting part?
The Last Night of Ballyhoo, in
college. I auditioned for Lala, and
my heart sank when I didn’t get
the role. Instead, I landed the
lead! I was shocked and terrified.2
What did you learn from your
role on Power?
The idea that together we’re

What can you tease about your
role in Altered Carbon?
After her father’s mysterious
renouncement, Danica Harlan
becomes the new governor of
Harlan’s World. Everyone questions
her ability to fill her father’s shoes,
but she’s confident.5
Who’s your biggest mentor?
I’ve had many mentors over the
years, women and men who’ve
lent their ear, experience, encourage-
ment and support. Catlin Adams and
Marilyn Fox have been two seminal
influences in my life and training.
I owe much of what I’ve learned
around craft and truth in acting to
those exceptional teachers.3
What was your college major?
Biology. I added theater as a
second major, but between work
and school, I didn’t have time to write
a thesis for both. That was the
moment I knew that I had to pick one,
