Jennifer Aniston’s

Friends-Filled Birthday

What a difference a year makes. After
marking her 50th birthday with a star-
studded fete at West Hollywood’s
Sunset Tower in 2019, Jennifer Aniston
returned to the hotel’s restaurant on Feb.
11—this time with just a few longtime
friends—to celebrate her 51st birthday.
The star, riding a career high after a
Screen Actors Guild award for her role in

the Apple TV+ series The Morning
Show, “wanted something small this
year,” a source says of the intimate
gathering. “She loves hanging out with
her close girlfriends, so it was perfect.
They had dinner, drinks and a small
cake. Jen felt very treated.”
Her longtime Friends friends,
including Courteney Cox, Lisa

Kudrow and Matthew Perry, also toasted
her on Instagram, which Aniston joined
last October. “No matter how hard you
might try... there’s only one Jennifer
Aniston,” Cox wrote. “Happy birthday
my dear friend... I love you!”
Another close pal, Sandra Bullock,
interviewed Aniston for the latest issue
of Interview magazine, where they
reminisced about first bonding over
shots of Jack Daniel’s and both dating
Tate Donovan early in their careers.
Bullock praised Aniston for always
“pushing joy and positivity” in her life
and career—and Aniston, whose parents’
marriage ended when she was 9,
attributed her attitude to “growing up in
a household that was destabilized and
felt unsafe, watching adults being unkind
to each other, and witnessing certain
things about human behavior. That
made me think: ‘I don’t want to do that.
I don’t want anyone else that I ever come
in contact with ever to feel that.’ ”
On Valentine’s Day Aniston had
another small dinner party with friends,
but she’s now focusing on the next season
of The Morning Show. Aniston, who
co-executive-produces with fellow star
Reese Witherspoon,
“very much put her
heart into the
project,” adds the
source. “She’s just
extremely happy the
show is getting so
much love.”
