Young Tennant hopes

to be a Ty-me Lord!

DaviD TennanT’s adopted
son Ty has spoken of
the moment he first met
his father on the set of
Doctor Who.
Ty’s mother Georgia Mof-
fett had a guest role on the
show in 2008 when she
began dating her future
husband. ‘it was great, i was
five when i first met my dad,
my mum was working on
Doctor Who,’ says Ty, 17. ‘i
watched him on Tv as the

hero, and it was crazy how
much your life can change.’
Ty made his own big-
screen debut last year as
Christopher Wiseman in
Tolkien and would love to
play the Doctor — which
would make him the third
Time Lord in his family.
David played the role
from 2005 to 2010, while
G e o r g i a ’s d a d P e t e r
Davison portrayed him in
the early eighties.

You can’t say the Duke
of Beaufort doesn’t speak
his mind. ‘Let’s not beat
about the bush,’ Harry
Beaufort — who is known
to his friends as Bunter —
tells his Twitter chums.
‘Meghan Markle would be
the daughter-in-law from

■ hell.’ The Beauforts were
once on first-name terms
with English monarchs
and his family sheltered
Queen Mary at Badminton
House during World
War II. It is unlikely the
Duchess of Sussex would
find succour there now.

S

he was a close friend
of Kate Moss and
Naomi Campbell —

Rothschild.
Now, two years after the sudden
death of socialite Annabelle Neilson,
aged 49, there is to be one final, daz-
zling glimpse into her partnership
with the fashion designer Alexander
McQueen, whose muse and confi-
dante she was.
Neilson’s collection of McQueen
couture is, I can disclose, being sold
at auction in London later this
m o n t h. ‘ We ’ r e a l r e a d y t a k i n g
conditional report requests from

museums in America and Australia,’
Kerry Taylor, of Kerry Taylor
Auctions, tells me. ‘McQueen is one
of the most famous British design-
ers ever and Annabelle was his
muse. It’s a very British story.’
The 123-lot sale — initiated by
Neilson’s family — will raise between
£120,000 and £180,000.
Neilson acknowledged that she
and McQueen were, on the face of it,
an unlikely pair: ‘east end gay boy’
and ‘skinny posh bird with a naughty
streak’, as she put it. But they
instantly knew, she said, that they
were the other’s ‘soulmate’ after
being introduced by their mutual
friend, stylist Isabella Blow. There-

after, Neilson had a bedroom in
every house McQueen owned, and
was the last person to see him alive
before his suicide, aged 40, in 2010.
her own life was scarcely less
turbulent. In Australia, she survived
a brutal attack by a man later
convicted of murder. Following
reconstructive surgery, she became
addicted to heroin.

Rothschild’s son, Nat, on a beach in
India. They eloped to Las Vegas,
marrying there in 1994, but divorced
three years later. Back in england,
Neilson was a member of the
Primrose hill set, describing Kate
Moss as ‘my sister’.
