MANFROOTTO RELOADERS

LEE FILTERS HAS improved its 100mm holder, which has proven incredibly popular for
more than 25 years. The latest LEE100 filter system has been created following extensive
feedback from its customers and boasts improved aesthetics, new design features and
more ergonomic handling. Precision-engineered from injection-moulded composite
materials, the (£70) LEE100 holder is rigid, durable and lightweight and is compatible with
all existing LEE 100mm filters and adaptor rings. A spring release allows for one-handed
operation when attaching to the adapter ring, but the most innovative design element is
the blue locking dial, which permits it to be used in three different settings. Set to Neutral,
the holder can be both rotated and quickly removed, or knocked off should it be caught
accidentally, thereby protecting the camera and lens. In Half lock, the holder can be
rotated but is locked to the adaptor ring and cannot be removed from it, while in Full lock
it cannot be rotated and is also locked in place, so cannot be removed
from the adaptor ring. Also new are the modular filter-guide
blocks, which come in one, two and three-slot configurations.
Their simplified design means they snap on to the holder and
remain securely in place until the photographer is ready
to remove them. The new tapered profile gives
improved resistance when positioning filters and
the holder can be used with up to three slot-in
filters without the risk of vignetting. A (£195)
LEE100 polarising filter has also been released,
which quickly snaps on to the front of the
filter-guide block, while current 105mm
polarisers can be attached by the optional
(£35) 105mm ring. The LEE100 holder is
available now on its own or in a number of filter kits.
