abuse. Sheriff Lorna Drummond QC
imposed a verbal warning,
saying: “I’m not going to
impose any penalty. I’m
going to admonish you.”
Outside court, Mr
Innes denied being
behind any
vendetta or
calling her his
“pension fund”.
He added:
“It’s sad she
wasn’t punished.”

and false allegations to social workers,

A HEROIC cop who almost died
after being run over while
making an arrest came face-to-
face with the culprit yesterday.
PC Chris burnham, 48,
suffered a fractured skull and
brain bleed after trying to
arrest robbery suspect Tekle
Lennox, 37, in Coventry last
September. He was charged
with attempted murder but
prosecutors accepted his guilty
plea to causing GbH with intent.
As Lennox was jailed for
seven years and four months,
the PC told Warwick crown
court: “I’m struggling to get
back to the person I was.”
