P
repositions are short but fundamental words in English grammar that are used to re-
late elements of a sentence. These words establish the position, direction, time
or relationship between objects, people or places in context. Some common pre-
positions in English include “in” (en), “on” (sobre), “under” (debajo), “between” (entre), “be-
hind” (detrás), “above” (encima), “among” (entre), “beside” (al lado de) and many more.
In our learning process, we spent time understanding how prepo-
sitions are used to describe locations and addresses in a city.
Through hands-on activities, such as creating a “Pla-
ce in the City” poster, we identify the location of va-
rious landmarks and how they relate to prepositions.
