LAST MINUTE
BACKPACKING TRIP
I along with my few friends, planned a last
minute Backpacking Trip to Sambhaji Nagar
(Aurangabad). We started from Mumbai at
9.30 PM catching the Devgiri Express. As we
planned at the very last minute, we have to
settle in with the General Coach. The train
was jam packed with people, we somehow
found place to sit, By 4.30 AM we reached
Sambhaji Nagar Railway station, we all were
tired after such a hectic train journey in
General Coach, but we also enjoyed this
adventurous train Journey, and got to learn
how difficult the things are for these people
who regularly travel in General Coach.
TO SAMBHAJI NAGAR
Later on, we went to the Bus Stand, from where we
took a State Transport Bus to Ajanta. Ajanta is
located approximately 108 km from Sambhaji Nagar,
so it was a very long journey, still didn't feel like a
long journey as many of us were sleeping in the bus,
the roads were also built really well. Finally, we
reached the Ajanta Caves and got freshened up.
There are proper facilities available for this purpose,
along with food stalls, shops, and a garden at the
complex. Government AC shuttle Buses are
available which drop you to the Base of Ajanta Caves
which is around 4 km from the Ajanta Complex. After
purchasing entry tickets at the base, we explored
various historic caves dedicated to Lord Buddha.
