I spent hours sitting there and clicking pictures. Then I left back for the
Kasol market, I tried different varieties of local dishes, from Momo’s to
Sidu (local vegetarian Himachal dish). My favourite was the German
chocolate cake which was freshly baked. Early in the morning we left for
a 26 km trek (13km one side) from Barsheini to Kheerganga. It was my
first trek, and I did not expect it to be difficult. It took us 6 hours to
climb up, especially because of the rain, waterfalls, and stalls for food,
and I finally got to eat the Pahadi Maggi. The climb was worth the view,

we were surrounded by snowy mountains, but there was no snow up where

we stayed. We had a bonfire session as it was -2°c and we were 9000 ft
above ground. We spent the night in tents and left the next morning. I
woke up to the most beautiful sunrise, golden shade of rays on white
mountains, shining brightly, the sky looked magical.

We then left to go down the mountain and then spent the rest of the day
in Kasol resting. Following day, we went to Manali and spent the day
travelling the city. I was lucky enough to visit Mata Hidimba temple on
her birthday and got to witness four palkis and the fair which had
various Himachali things, from food to toys and so much more. I got to
see the show where all of locals were dancing and singing in their local
language. The place was crowded, it was chaotic but fun.I spent the
evening at the mall road and for the next day we went to Solang valley
and then through the Atal Tunnel to Koksar by a minivan. During the
journey I saw some of the most breathtaking views. The huge brown
snow capped mountains and the river passing through the area, I could
not help but stare at it. We ended up playing in snow, which was less as
it was already towards the end of May, but making snowman with
random strangers made me happy.
