In a needed win for Paramount, the adaptation of the video game
continues to exceed expectations in its second weekend as it
races toward $175 million domestically and $500 million world-
wide against a production budget of $87 million before marketing.
Thanks to the combo of Harrison Ford and a CGI dog, the
$125 million film played to both families and baby boomers. Nearly
30 percent of ticket buyers were under the age of 17, while 20 per-
cent were 55 or older.
Lakeshore and STX’s stand-alone sequel opened well behind the
$10.8 million domestic debut of 2016’s The Boy, which went on
to gross nearly $36 million. At this pace, the horror pic will top
out at around $15 million in North America.
Still trailing The Masked Singer as
TV’s top reality show, cycle 24 of
The Bachelor continues to grow —
matching its Fox competition with a
1.8 live rating in the key demo.
The anthology shows signs of
genuine fatigue in its third iteration,
shedding nearly 1 million viewers
from the first pair of episodes in sea-
son two that aired in 2018.

At 25, Bieber is
the youngest solo
artist to earn seven
No. 1s, beating
Elvis Presley, who
was nearly 27 when
he got his seventh
(of 10) in 1961.
