oe Glencross’s long-held
dream had been to move
to the country. She and her
husband Jonah had lived in
Didsbury, a suburb of Manchester,
since their early twenties. “We loved
Didsbury – so much that we moved
house there three times,” says Zoe.
“Then we had children and it became
a dream of mine for our boys to grow
up in the countryside. I was raised in
Sussex and spent holidays in Devon
as a child, so have lovely memories of
a childhood full of freedom. Moving to
the countryside became a pipe dream.”
