Prepositional phrase. In order to testthe negative pattern sin + N in non-translated
Spanish, CREA was searched for all the combinations found in P-ACTRES. From
these a group of 47 different lemmas, including some recurrent ones, were used as
input query in CREA. The CREA written sub-corpora did not yield any instances
of seven of these combinations (sin guante, sin sanguijuelas, sin fricción [Eng glove-
less, leechless, frictionless], among others). The ten most frequent combinations
were selected for verification of target language fit, yielding a population of 445
instances. The querying combinations are shown in Table 12.
