Besides the size of the class and the productivity of the formation of items in this
domain, DIMENSION adjectives are deviant with regard to the adjectives we have
seen thus far. Like Dimension Adjectives in Tariana (see Chapter 4, this volume),
they show irregularity in their pluralization. They are also deviant, with respect to
the best exemplars of the adjective class, in the way they derive their inchoative
verbs (see §4.1.3).
DIMENSION adjectives are pluralized either with the DISTRIBUTIVE lak-/laq-,
(the adjectival technique) or with an -N plural (the nominal technique), but are
very frequently pluralized with both, as shown in (28).
