citizens pay one of the highest fees, somewhere around
$130. You must pay only once for the life of your passport.
After immigration, travellers pass through customs. The
following items are prohibited and will be confiscated: fruit,
vegetables, seeds, non-processed animal products, illegal
drugs, firearms and explosives.
If you are planning a longer stay in Chile, you will need
either a work, student or temporary resident visa. A number
of documents are required. For specific information call the
nearest Chilean consulate or visit their website. Chile has
embassies and consulates throughout the Americas, in most
European countries, in several Asian countries and in a few
African counties.
