Practically all students in Chile wear uniforms to school, whether
public or private.

at reasonable prices. Finally, because it is difficult to return
items once purchased, make sure you buy the right size and
that you like it.

Dress

Older women continue to wear skirts, although younger
Chilean women are now heavily influenced by fashion trends
in the United States and Europe. Previously, shorts were worn
only at the beach, but you will now see them all over Santiago
during the summer. Gym shoes are generally not worn out
on the street, unless the person is heading to the gym.
For those whose residence does not have central heating,
winters mean low temperatures indoors. You must bundle
up during the winter and heavy sweaters, turtlenecks and
scarves are a good idea. Men often wear sweater vests under
their suitcoats.
