Renting movies in Chile is quite easy and video clubs are
common. Most of the foreign movies can be watched in their
original language. The Spanish movie title is not always a
literal translation of the original title. We recommend you
ask for films by actor if you are having problems locating
a movie.

Radio

Chile enjoys a diverse radio programming spectrum, both
in AM and FM bands. For many years, due to the fractured
geography of the country, radio was the only way to reach
everybody. Even today, radio shows featuring messages
for families and individuals are common in the islands of
Chiloé. You will be able to find your favourite music, both
Latin and English-language pop, and will be able to hear
news... but only in Spanish.

Theatre

For those who speak Spanish very well, there are plenty
of good theatres. Teatro a Mil is a popular summer theatre
festival in Santiago, featuring local and international
companies. If your Spanish is not quite good enough for
local theatre, Santiago Stage offers performances in English
and the Teatro Municipal (Municipal Theatre) in downtown
Santiago presents ballets, operas and classical concerts.
