If a raw photo has been severely
underexposed, you may still be able
to rescue it. Here the original image looks
almost black, but by increasing Exposure
and Shadows in Camera Raw, we are
able to pull detail out of the darkness.
By contrast, attempting to rescue a
similarly underexposed JPEG results in
an unacceptably high level of grainy noise
