cabinetministers.Shehonedher
manyskillsandalongwith her
naturalleadershiptalents,quickly
earnedareputationas ahighly
trusted and valuedcolleague.
She soared professionally on
Parliament Hill because her
reputationwasimpeccableand
herworkethicunassailable.
Traceyeventually left “theHill”,
joining theworldofgovernment
relationsin 1 99 7. Her meteoric
risein thisindustryislegendary,
but notunexpected, given
her incredible talentsand
unparalleled peopleskills.Tracey
became president ofSumma
StrategiesCanadain February,
2005 .Sheworkedtirelesslyand
noclient,colleague(orfriend)
ever questioned her loyalty.
TherewerenolimitstoTracey’s
abilitiesinthe boardroom or
atthenegotiatingtable.Tracey
wasapioneerinaheavilymale-
dominatedindustry,and proved
time andagain tobe among the
verybestinthebusiness. Clients
f arorom undtheworldrelied
onher strategic counseland
her ability toget thingsdone.
Shementored manyandwas
arole modelforyoungpeople
entering theindustry, especially
young women.
Tracey enjoyed a partnership
with theloveofherlife,Woody,
for morethan17years.They
adoredeachotherandshelooked
forwardtotheendofeach week
whenhewouldreturnhomefrom
workinMontreal.
She wasthedoting “Auntie
CiCi” toseveral childrenofher
extended community family.
Shelovedth as sem hedidher
ownandtooktremendouspride
in theiraccomplishments.Many
who arenowadults aregrateful
tohavehadherin theirlives.

    plansfor retirement in July
    making heruntimelypassingeven
    moretragic.

    andalegacyofloyalty,strength
    andlove, andalargecircleof
    friendswhowerehonouredto
    be partofherlife.Her sense
    ofhumour, magneticpresence
    andhistoric laugh will begreatly
    missedandneverforgotten.

Revolution,andinNovember of
1956 ,with her mother, escaped
HungarytoItaly viaVienna.After
ashortsixmonthstayinItaly,she
cametoCanadabyboat.
AfterashortstayinMidland,
Ontarioworkingas a seamstress,
shecametoTorontowhere she
waitressedattheGraniteClub.
Byserendipity,shemetCharles
Knapp, andfollowinga24-hour
courtship, agreedt marro ythe
loveofherlife,with whom she
sharedanamazing 5 6years.
Evawastheyin toCharles’yang,
andtogethertheyranthevery
successful CharlesignandDisplay
StudioaswellasBijou Cinemasin
West Hill.
Eva was the proudmother
to Charles Jr. (Stéphane
Laframboise), and Tom (Mary
FrancesBolland), andstepmom
toJanos (Sue Markle).She
was fiercely proudofher
grandchildren, Charlotte,
Véronique,Garvey, Leo,Marika,
andGreta.
Ev s pra’ iority was spending time
with herfamilyandclosefriends,
travelling,watchingopera and
movies, and spending timeby
the poolintheirbackyard oasis.
Shewasatremendouscookwho
lovedtoentertain.
Eva was strong-minded,
principled, and unwavering in

Dr. William B. Singer,88, of Port
Credit, died Sunday afternoon,
March 1, 2020, at Trillium
Hospital, with family members at
his side. Born in 1931 in Bratislava,
he graduated from University
College in London with a Gold
Medal and led a distinguished
career in Medicine. He
immigrated to Canada in 1966. Dr.
Singer is survived by his wife,
Patricia Singer;sons, Jeremy and
David Singer; brother,Oscar and
sister-in-law, Eva Singer;
nephews, Ronald and Gary
Singer; grandchildren, Albert and
Billie Singer; stepchildren, Sharon,
Gabrielle, Daniel and Steven; and
their families. Service on
Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at
1:00 p.m. at Habonim Congration,
5 Glenpark Avenue, Toronto.
