sides of the house, as the sandstone footings were slowly sinking... And by

enclosing the side of the verandah, we added a dressing room.”

“It starts with a very early coffee, around 5.30am/6am. I read the

headlines, then the washing goes on. I love how my washing smells after

the sun has dried it – a luxury we didn’t have with apartment living.”

“We sleep with the blinds up and windows open – there is nothing better

than the country air and light to rise with.”
