FINISHING TOUCHES
The key to toning down a maximalist bohemian space
lies in selecting natural materials and textures to
create a soothing effect. “The new boho look is softer,
with layering of natural colours combined with organic
shapes, and finished with luxe moments of gold and
marble,” says creative director Bonnie Hindmarsh of
Three Birds Renovations. “When it comes to flooring,
it needs to have character and imperfections.”

STYLE IT: “Timbers,
natural stones, glass,
cane and leather all
add an element of
comfort and warmth
when layered simply,”
says Danielle McEwan
of Tigmi Trading.

STYLE IT: Drawing on natural
elements such as rattan, cane
and reclaimed or rustic timber,
it’s simple to add a breezy boho
vibe to a coastal, contemporary
or Hamptons-style home.
