(Joyce) #1
MAIN BEDROOM The upstairs extension encompasses a spacious suite
(opposite & top left) including a walk-in robe and ensuite. The entrance
to the bedroom (complete with a love seat from Globe West and a limited-
edition print by Jen Sievers from Greenhouse Interiors) is announced by
the recycled brick wall, rising up from the lower floor. Here, a fiddle leaf fig
in a giant Uashmama paper bag in Quartz enlivens the corner with two of
Jodie’s favourite things: greenery and a pop of dusty pink.

ENSUITE Her own private haven, Jodie’s main ensuite (above & left)
displays a saturated version of the palette used throughout her home, right
down to the pink tiles sourced from Signorino Tile Gallery. “Sometimes
I think I overcommitted with the tiles, but I am yet to regret them,” she
says. A pink fleck in the terrazzo floor tiles from Fibonacci ties the look
together with the Reece bath, and the vanity (above, topped with Corian
and an Omvivo basin) carries on the theme. Custom-made in American
Oak, it has a slight pink undertone. The space’s secret sauce is matt black
accents, by way of the Dowel Jones lights and Meir tapware. >
