tool to create a selection around the
lion, carefully following the folds of
the lower mane where it extrudes
from the edge of the main statue.
Then use this selection as a layer
mask. Add a new layer over the lion
statue called “Shadows.” Set the
blending mode to Multiply and clip
it to the Lion Statue layer. Switch
to the Brush tool (B), set it to a soft
round brush at 40% Opacity, and
hold down the Option (PC: Alt) key
to sample a dark color from the
statue. Gently paint in the shadows
that should be cast onto the lion
from the head statue’s outer shell.
