YEAR 7 FOOTBALL
The Year 7 boys football team competed in
the Hinckley and Bosworth competition,
representing the school for the first time, and
finished in 2nd place. They played four games,
winning three, but a narrow loss in the opening
game prevented them from qualifying for the
County knock out rounds.
We entered two Year 7 girls teams into the
Hinckley and Bosworth competition, the only
school to do so, meaning 23 students got a
taste of competitive school football at BGLC
for the first time. One team made it through
to the final, but lost on penalties.WELL DONE TO ALL

Congratulations to Year 10 student Kairo Piper who
has secured an early scholarship for Burton FC!
Kairo was signed in 2017 into the Burton Albion Academy,
where he plays in their central attacking midfield.

amazing news, that he has been selected for trials to be in
the England National Squad for Karate.
Jenson has also won Gold at the E1 series!
