My outdoor studies included every-
thing from painting right outside my
front door to taking country drives to
find places to paint. One week I set up
my own artist residency at an old farmstead featuring
plenty of barns and interesting scenery.INDOOR STUDIES
My indoor studies were held in my makeshift classroom,
otherwise known as my art studio. My goal was to keep
painting from life, so I set up floral still lifes from whichOutdoor studies:
I didn’t have to travel
far to attend class.
In fact, I held this
