ThisMother’sDay feels like the perfect
opportunitytoputthat right. It’s been 13
yearssinceI relocated, and the children are
finallyat an agewhere it’s a bit easier to
travel.I’ve booked a flight for me and the
kidstoPoland,andwe will be there for
Mother’sDay. Mymum’s moved to a new
house,andshe’s excited about hosting us.
We’vedecidednotto set our expectations too
highfortheday itself, and just see what feels
natural.Forme, themost heart-warming
familydaysare thosethat are spontaneous.
If theweather’snicewe might go for a walk,
otherwisewe may bake. It’s something I used
tolove doingwithmy mum as a child.
Mum’sproudof what I’ve achieved,
buildinga newlifeinthe UK, and I’m
gratefulfortheloveand beautiful memories
givenmeof growing up in Poland.
n’ t waitto feel thepositive energy of
g aroundheronsuch a special day.
