“Social media may make it seem like
people are training two times a day, seven
days a week, but that isn’t necessary to be
a healthy, active human being,” says Ashley
Joi, expert trainer on Chris Hemsworth’s
health and fitness app, centr.com. Rather,
she suggests seeking out activities you
enjoy; that way you’re more likely to get
out there and complete a workout.
“Did you dance or swim back in the day?
If so, boogie or dive back in. When your
body starts to move like it used to, it will
respond with that same sense of self and
happiness.” Stuck in an office all week?
Stepping away from your desk every
30 minutes for three minutes of activity
will pay off, says Joi. “Walk a flight of stairs
or do some squats. After an eight-hour
day, you will have put in an impressive
48 minutes of movement.”
