a coupleofextrafunctions.

Nortontoutsplentyoftweaks,

optionsandsettingsforthose

whorequirethem,notto

mentionfeatureslikea handy

URLblocker,whichkeepsyou

awayfrommaliciouswebsites.

If thatmissessomething,an

excellentfilereputation service

heuristicallyrecognises suspect

downloadsinstantly.

And,evenif malware still finds a

waythrough,intelligent behaviour

monitoringusesitsup to date

virusdefinitionstoquarantine

threatsatthefirstsign of trouble.

So what exactly does Plus do that

Basic didn’t? There are only a

couple of things really: it adds an

extra 2GB worth of cloud backup

and a password manager. The latter

is worth having if you haven’t got

one already, though it can’t match

the power of Dashlane and other

market leaders.
