“I try to do something every day,” Una
says of her fitness regime. “I do a lot
of road running, usually around 5k, and
then I do gym classes too, like body pump,
body combat and spin. There’s virtual spin
at my gym which is really fun!”

The Saturdays star
incorporates resistance
training alongside cardio
exercise. “I walk away in my
mind feeling healthier and
better,” she admits. “It’s so
good for the endorphins.”

Una generally follows
a healthy diet, but she
admits she enjoys a “little treat
like a biscuit or a chocolate
bar every other day”. Well, it’s
got to be done!

The star, who is
mum to daughter
Aoife, eight, and
five-year-old son
Tadhg, says simply
persevering with
exercise keeps her
motivated. “The more
you do it, the more you
want to do it,” she says.

“Exercise is
definitely a stress
reliever for me,” Una
admits. “It makes you
feel so good about
yourself. You feel
healthy, strong and
like you can take
things on physically
and mentally.”
FITNESS
SCHOOL OF CALISTHENICS
Una Healy, 38
Calisthenics is one of the most fun
and challenging forms of exercise out
there and uses bodyweight training
and gymnastic movements to help
build strength and improve mobility.
Now, the School Of Calisthenics is
offering free access to its Bodyweight
Basics Training Programme – which
is usually £40 – until 30 April, so it’s
ideal for anyone who’s working out
at home while in isolation.
The online programme is suitable
for everyone and consists of video
modules for full body, upper body
and lower body. It engages your
brain as well as your body, giving
you a great mental workout too.
With any luck, you’ll have nailed
a handstand in no time!
