PREP THE ENAMEL
Wash your enamel powder for a
more true color.

Place a small amount of
enamel in a petri dish (or
the like) and aerate by squirting
water into the dish. Use a small
squirt bottle with clean water. This
will cause any impurities in the
enamel to come to the water’s
surface. The water will appear to be
cloudy. Pour this off and repeat until
the water comes clean, 4-5 times.
This is a lot like washing the starch
out of rice.

Pour the enamel onto a
paper towel or coff ee fi lter

and allow to dry thoroughly before
using.

ENAMEL THE METAL

Using a paint brush, brush a
thin layer of holding agent or
KlyrFire® on the front (concave side)
of your 1" disc. This will help the
enamel stay in place on a curved
surface.

Hold the disc between
your fi ngers to sift an
even layer of transparent enamel
on the disc’s surface. Start from the
outside edge and work your way
to the middle in a spiral pattern. Be
sure to tilt the disc at an angle as
you sift to ensure that the enamel
