indicate that as much as
95 percent of our mind’s
consciousness is actually
subconscious – and it’s the
subconscious mind that stores
our attitudes, values and beliefs.
If you’ve ever made a vision
board, said a rmations or practised
positive thinking, Psychological
Kinesiology (Psych-K) is a similar
method designed to help reprogram
our subconsciousmind.
What isPsych-K?

During a Psych-K treatment, kinesiology
(muscle testing) is used to uncover
subconscious beliefs and help to
reconnect the left and right brain.
That means old beliefs buried deep in
our subconscious can be replaced with
new life-a rming beliefs that support
us. Using the ‘whole-brain posture’
(sitting with arms and legs crossed) and
using a visual, auditory and kinesthetic
format, Psych-K can help to reconnect
the left and right brain.
Self-empowerment coach and Psych-K
facilitator at Siren Soul, Fiona
McLeod, says she begins
with the client’s current
situation. “Often clients
present with problems
and discuss what in life
they aren’t satisfi ed
with,” she says. “I then
help the client fi nd the
first step to solve the
situation. We proceed with
thePsych-K Balance – this is
theprocedureused in Psych-K to let
theclientintegrate the desired outcome.
Wekeepdoingitas long as the client
feelssatisfiedregarding the current
situation,andcreate an action plan. The
actionplanhelpsthe client to manifest

inhis/herlife.It’s fast, simple and
incrediblyeective.”
Duringandafter a session, Fiona says
themostcommon reaction is a feeling
oflightness,aswell as feeling more
relaxedandpresent. “Some say it feels
‘asiftheweightof the world has been
liftedfromthem’.We usually defi ne this
stateasthe‘whole-brain state’. In the
daysfollowingtheir Psych-K Balance,
clientsmayreport seemingly signifi cant
events,interactions and/or new
opportunitiespresenting. Obviously it
variesdepending on the beliefs worked
withintheirsession and the action they
chosetotakefollowing their session.”
