We thought the shoreside experiences would be the highlight; we had no idea
how much Regent’s Inside Alaska program would bring aboard. I loved being
face-to-face with the adorable pygmy owl from the Alaska Raptor Center,
and the local catch of the day was always fresh and perfectly prepared. But my
personal favorite was getting to hear the story of Tlingit weaver Lily Hope.
Her connection to her peoples’ tradition is as beautiful as the patterns she creates.
