The Sony World Photography Awards is to establish a platform for the development of photographic culture by recognizing great advancements in
photography through the Outstanding Contribution to Photography prize, as well as finding new talents of the future. This is demonstrated not only
via the Awards, but also by its significant grant, which offers selected winners of the student competition US$3500 and pro competition US$7000
to develop projects. There are also plenty of prizes to be won in each group, including a cash prize of up to US$25,000. An exhibition will run from 17 April to 4 May
at Somerset House, London. The 2021 professional, open, student and youth competitions open on 1 June, 2020. All entries are free at http://www.worldphoto.org
