Refresh guests with a
fresh-squeezed sip
The cheery orange color of a mimosa is the
perfect accompaniment to the Easter treats
served at this party—and the tangy citrus fla-
vor counters the sweetness of cupcakes and
treats perfectly. To make, stir a spoonful of
peach puree (from the baby-food aisle of the
grocery store) into each champagne flute,
then fill glass halfway with chilled orange
juice. Top with sparkling wine or Champagne
and serve immediately.

Bake up happiness with
carrot-kissed cupcakes
Carrot cake cupcakes are the perfect
dessert for a bunny brunch! To make:
Bake your favorite recipe; let cool. To
decorate, cut prerolled white fondant
(like Wilton Ready-Rolled Fondant, $10,
Michaels stores) in circles. Set on cup-
cakes, pulling edges for a “drip” effect.
To p with candy carrots and sprinkles.

Add a dash of Easter cheer
with a bunny bouquet
At her Easter brunch, Johnson transformed
grocery-store tulips and a few sheets of felt
into an adorable centerpiece that got the
party hopping. To create a similar bouquet,
start by filling a 6"-tall cylindrical vase half-
way with water. Next, snip a handful each of
pink and yellow tulips to 10" and add to vase.
Inser t greener y to fill any gaps. Cut out two
bunny-ear shapes from a sheet of white felt
and glue each to a wood skewer. Next, cut
out two smaller ear shapes from pink felt and
glue to the white felt. Let dry, then insert into
the bouquet. Tip: If buying blooms from the
store, pick them up one to two days before
the party to ensure that petals are starting to
open up for a full and lively look.
