led by an angelic being down
the stairs to our basement and
told to open the swinging door.
I sprang awake and ran
downstairs to that very door.
When I opened it, out jumped
our frazzled cat, nearly giving
me a heart attack. She imme-
diately scampered upstairs to
her food bowl and voraciously
licked it clean.
Dad had never let Tater out.
Unable to find her, he
thought someone else had
let her out that evening, but
instead, she had decided
to mischievously snoop
around the basement.
The swinging door was
probably open, so she went
through it to investigate the
bedrock and crawl space on the
other side...and then someone
closed the door, accidentally
locking her in.
I am forever grateful to the
angelic being that appeared in
my dream and helped me save
Tater. Angels have always been
present in my life. I believe they
W
hen I was in my early
teens, I had a special
cat named Tater. She
was a pretty little calico kitty
who was sweet and friendly, but
she also had a mischie-
vous side.
We lived in the
suburbs outside
of New York
City, and in
those days, it was
totally acceptable
to let your cat go
outside. Every night,
my dad would let Tater out,
and then my mom would let
her back inside in the morning.
One day, my mom informed
me that Tater didn’t come
home as she always did. I wor-
ried that she had been hit by
a car or mangled by another
animal. So I searched around
the outside of our house and all
around our neighborhood but
had no luck finding her. By the
second day, I asked neighbors
and friends to keep a lookout.
Another day passed, and I was
distraught about the possibility
of losing her forever.
On the fourth night, I had
a vivid dream that Tater was
frantically screaming and call-
ing for me. In my dream, I was Ge

SAYS...
“Angels love the animal
kingdom, and in fact,
they see them as angels
on the Earth because they can
bring us so much comfort and
love. I believe that Barbara was
chosen by the angels to receive
the clear direction of where
Tater was because she was open,
sensitive and, above all, she
had faith. These experiences
are moments to remind us that
miracles are real and that we are
deserving of them.”
