In the years to come, peoples from the east called the Kassites set up
a ruling dynasty that would hold sway over the whole of Babylonia
for the rest of the Bronze Age. Of more direct concern, the Hittite
conquests in Syria facilitated the growth and spread through the
region of one of the Hittites’most dangerous enemies. We have
already briefly met them. They were the Hurrians.
