With Psicobloc (aka Deep Water
Soloing) over water you learn to find the
right measure between really trying and
controlling your fall because when at
15m high, a fall into water flat on your
back is not a good idea. It will for sure
give you a perspective on risk that will
mentally free you to concentrate your
climbing when high above a bolt on a
sport route.
Trad climbing teaches us to focus
on our security, not only for keeping us
physically safe by placing and under-
standing your gear and ropework but
also in securely climbing certain moves
so you know you will never fall.
Climbing in all its dimensions has
become a jigsaw that one solves with
one's body and mind. The combinations
have become infinite and the more
pieces you have the more chance you
have. How, why, and when is up to you...
the only thing certain is that you will
never have enough time to try it all.
Have fun! n
