Exercise

your

appetite

If you think working out will
make you eat more than
usual, think again. New
research from The Centre for
Weight, Eating and Lifestyle
Science at Drexel University,
in Pennsylvania, US, shows
that rather than increase your
appetite, working out helps
you exercise more restraint
when it comes to overeating.
Collecting data from 130
participants, the researchers
concluded that exercising for
one hour more than halves
the risk of overeating, and, for
every additional 10 minutes
of training, the likelihood
of overeating decreases
by another one per cent in
the few hours after working
out. Want to avoid reaching
for that bar of chocolate?
Head out for a run instead!
