14 The white painted fl oors in one of the

bedrooms serve up cottagey appeal. They

are simply plywood planks adhered to the

subfl ooring. “One of our least expensive

projects,” Jodi says. 15 Jodi added slim

shelving (crafted of leftovers from the

plywood fl ooring) along the perimeter

of the room, creating a pretty, practical

place to display childhood treasures.

16 Jodi and Jason turned the garage

into a cheery boys’ bedroom. They used

salvaged windows to add ample sunshine

to the once light-deprived space.

17 A stained piece of plywood was

attached to the wall with L brackets

to create a desk. Above it, a shipping

pallet (painted white) serves as a

makeshift bulletin board. 18 A salvaged

door was painted a cool shade of

aqua to coordinate with the lockers.
