Speedy sloths
As I love sloths, I couldn’t wait to
stitch these cute designs from
the Christmas issue last year!
Marilyn Wagner, Leeds
Lou says: Oh, they’re so
adorable! We’re pleased you
liked these sloth designs,
Marilyn. You’ve turned them
into a stunning set of cards. You
might want to check out our cute
wild animal designs on page 62,
if you’re a fan of cute critters.
There’s a choice of a small,
a medium and a large chart.

Winter wonder
I’ve just completed
The SnowmanTM
scene from issue
262. I added some
sparkle by using DMC
metallic threads to
stitch the buttons and
Kreinik Metallic Ver y
Fine No. 4 Braid to
stitch the trees.
Penny Wareing,
Chester
Alison says: I’m so
glad you shared
your finish with us,
Penny. The glitzy
threads you added
look stunning, and the gold
frame you chose really brings
this whole piece together.

Sparkle and shine
Here’s what I’ve done with the wooden
bauble ornaments! I combined them with
a penguin chart from issue 245 and
painted the baubles with sparkles.
Then, I picked up an extra bauble and
made another sparkly decoration!
Amanda Clemence, Canada
Lou says: They look fantastic, Amanda!
I love the icy sparkles you added to each
one, and those penguins look simply
adorable as baubles. We can’t wait to see
what you make next!

Gorgeous gifts
Here are some Christmas presents
that I’ve made already this year!
They’re scented sachets for my
grandparents and my boyfriend’s
mum. They were actually quite
tricky to make as I bought the bags
themselves ready-made, which
made them fiddly to stitch on.
Beth Chown, Middleton St George
Emily says: Your hard work paid
off, Beth! They look brilliant. I bet
your grandparents and boyfriend’s
mum loved them. You might be
a fan of our lavender bags on page

  1. There’s a step-by-step guide
    for making them from scratch!
