Heartfelt stitching
I just wanted to share my finished
pom-pom hoop with you. My copy
arrived in the post today and I got
straight to stitching it as it just struck
a chord with me. I really enjoyed making
this, especially as it’s something for me
to keep and display – usually, with cards
and bookmarks, I tend to make them to
pass on. Now I just need to decide whether
to hang it on my guest bedroom door or in the
dining room. Thank you, Crazy!
Sophia Thompson, Wiltshire
Lou says: Your hoop looks fantastic, Sophia! You’ve
attached the pom-pom trim so neatly. Well done.

For a fan
I thought I’d share these two projects with you.
I’ve only recently learned to stitch so I started with
a smaller version of the design to find my way
around it all before attempting a larger snowglobe
chart. It was intended as a Christmas present for
my cousin, but I was tempted to keep it for myself!
I gave the big one to my cousin for Christmas
and she was very pleased with it. She’s
even sent me another chart that she
wants me to stitch. Seems like I’ve
created a monster – oh well! Next, I’ll
be stitching earrings on plastic canvas.
I’m excited to see how they turn out.
Sabine Kurz, Helensburgh
Alison says: I love these, Sabine – both the
final piece and the mini practice project.
It was a great idea to try a smaller version first.
I hope your cousin enjoys her new stitchy artwork!

Tree

trimmers
I finished the elf gift tags
by Cheryl McKinnon,
from issue 262.
I decided to use them
as Christmas tree
decorations instead of
gift tags and I think they
look lovely on my little
tree. I hope you all had
a lovely Christmas and
New Year, and thank
you for the inspiration!
Veronica Paratico, Italy
Emma says: I love that you used
these tags as tree decorations,
Veronica! They look so fabulously
festive among your star-shaped lights. And the best part is, you can
keep them as decorations for years. Or, if you prefer, you could still
use them as gift tags for your loved ones this Christmas!

Happy home

I just wanted to say thank you
for the Welcome hanging kit
that came with issue 264.
It was perfectly timed for me to
make as I’ve just bought my first
home! Thanks, Crazy.
Stacie Aldridge, Dunstable

Lou says: Congratulations on
purchasing your first place! I’m
sure you’ll have many happy years
there. How lucky that our welcome
hanging kit arrived just in time to
mark the event! We all hope it’s bringing you joy in
a nice, bright spot in your brand-new home.
