A
s with the traditional
wooden kokeshi
dolls, these designs
are beautifully simple
and filled with charm. With their
colourful costumes, unique
hairstyles and rosy cheeks,
there’s plenty to love about
each little character! The charts
all have large areas of colour so
they’re nice and easy to follow
for beginners, plus you only
need to work a tiny amount of
backstitch for their eyes and
lips. We’ve turned ours into cute
decorations by adding backing
fabric, a little stuffing and some
ribbon for hanging! ●
