Scandanavian headphone maker Kygo’s noise–
canceling headphones rival premium cans, like the
Bose QuietComfort 35 II, with a much lower price
tag — you can pick up the A11/800s for as little as
$185 on Amazon. They’re solid and comfy, if a little
flimsy given the price.
They have active noise cancellation that’s
enabled via a physical button or through the Kygo
app, the option to listen to the headphones in a
wired capacity for when battery life is at a
premium, a proximity sensor so they pause when
taken off, and Siri voice command support.
Most importantly, the A11/800 sound delightful.
Warm in all the right ways, their 40mm drivers hit
all the right notes, with well–balanced sounds
regardless of what you’re listening to.
Battery life is just under 40 hours with ANC off,
and about 18 hours when it’s enabled. USB–C
connectivity means fast charging, too.
THE BOTTOM LINE. The A11/800 are a
remarkably capable pair of ANC headphones,
considering the price tag. JENNIFER ALLEN
